Last Update: January 19, 2008 UPDATE: Leftöver Crack is still a band. They seem to keep themselves together pretty well. They have not announced plans for a new album. Their touring buddy Nick recently died. Morning Glory may do a US or UK tour one day, or maybe never. The Crack Rock Steady Seven moniker probably won't be used by the official band ever again, however, Stza uses variations of it while traveling, especially in Mexico. The Star Fucking Hipsters (includes Stza & Ara) will get a page on this site if they put an album out. Stza occasionally tours the UK alone, acoustic. As for the other CRS bands, they're dead and gone. I added some mp3s to this site recently. I'm not sure what the crew's stance on copyright law is, but I'm only adding oop/rare/live tracks. This will be done slowly, as I have time. As for new/in print tracks, buy them to support the band or pirate them elsewhere, they're available enough that I don't feel the need to include them. This site will, in all likelihood, not be updated again for quite some time to come. It is now what it was always meant to be, an archive (regrettably, an incomplete one) of information about these bands for those seeking it. For news on their current projects, the band members maintain pages that do a far better job than I ever will, so go to them directly. Sites to watch: Leftöver Crack (.com is gone, loc.org/.co.uk is the band-endorsed fan site.) I encourage you to do what you can to help get Ron Paul the Republican nomination for president in 2008. Check out this in-depth interview with him. He is our last chance to getting back on the track to what America should have been all about before we spill over the edge into another depression and global government. We are at the tipping point. I'm sure Leftöver Crack does not support him (though Ezra may a little, as he talks about the Constitution in his lyrics on multiple occasions in a favorable manner), but you should, and here is why: Let's think for a minute. If you want freedom, that means you want less government intervention (and threat thereof) in your life. Whether you are a full-blown anarchist, a mutualist, or libertarian, our current reality is that there are many groups of men and women who have no moral conflict imposing their will upon you. Step by step, the government gets bigger, more laws are created, and your freedom is slowly eroded. Will you not at least work in the opposite direction, even if Ron Paul's every platform is not exactly to your liking? This mess has been brewing for quite some time, getting incrementally larger and more ominous every year. A giant leap in the direction of freedom will never happen -- we must crawl before we walk, just as those who would be your rulers take what they can get piece by piece. If you are a democrat, socialist, or communist, please realize that what the government run schools and other mentors have taught you up to this point about American capitalism is probably misguided. Most if not all "free trade" deals and legislation that arena are corporate managed trade designed specifically to make the market not free, but work to the advantage of one side. If you're a republican or a authoritarian statist of some sort, you're probably not reading this. ![]() "Our campaign is all about freedom, prosperity, and PEACE." |
