FAQ

Caution: These are not official answers from the band. I cannot give you an official statement, as I am not the band, nor have I ever met any of them.
These are just educated guesses presented as answers to questions people commonly have about Team Crack.

General
Q: Why do they say things like "kill yourself" and "shoot the kids at school"?
A: In interviews, Stza seems to state that they enjoy testing the waters of free speech in the United States.

Q: Why do I see pentagrams on their album covers and 666's in their lyrics if they're atheists?
A: Stza says "The symbols on our records are provocation. We don't believe in God or the Devil. The signs were just made to entice the people who believe in it, there is not a real meaning, we are not a satanic band at all."
Also: "Satanism's okay if you dont believe in Satan as a being. Some of the laws from the Satanic Bible are just common sense, and are good, but I disagree with enough that I wouldn't call myself a Satanist."
Ezra says "Everybody in the band is an atheist. We make a lot of jokes about Christians and religion in general and even Satanism. What I have to say about it usually is that you can't really believe in Satan unless you believe in God. We like the imagery of satanism. We like to poke fun at it. We think it's kind of humorous."
It is likely that they have a distaste for organized religion because of its tendency to shape people's values and thought-processes into ones vastly differing from their own.

Q: Are they really homeless squatters?
A: Yes and no. It is pretty clear that most of them at one point or another have had no place to go.
From the best I can tell, at least Stza and Ezra have permanent rooms in C-Squat, which isn't actually a squat anymore (as of 2002):
"On August 19 the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development transferred ownership of eleven of the twelve remaining squatted buildings on New York's Lower East Side to the Urban Homestead Assistance Board (UHAB), a nonprofit housing development agency. UHAB, in turn, will provide assistance in expeditiously completing renovation of the buildings, and will then turn the properties over to the tenants."

Q: Why don't they live like kings now that they're (relatively) wealthy and (in)famous?
A: They do. They live how they want to live (under the circumstances), and always have.
Not getting radio play doesn't help their wealth. All of the members have other bands/projects/jobs to suppliment their income.

Q: Stza Crack, Ezra "Tryla-G" Glory, Brandon Possible? What's with these "team crack" names?
A: Sturgeon, the lyricist/singer of Leftöver Crack is a big fan of the Wu-Tang Clan, whose two original members' monikers are the Gza and the Rza.
Ezra is Ezra's real name. He calls himself Tryla-G, which he pronouces like "trilogy".
A last name is a family name. Their bands are their families, so their "last names" are usually adopted from current or former bands.

Q: What's with the ö in Leftöver Crack?
A: Above the o is an umlaut, which is a diacritical mark placed over a vowel in German to indicate the way the reader should pronounce it.
They are usually either placed over the second of two adjacent vowels in a word to indicate that they are to be pronounced as separate sounds, or placed over any vowel to indicate that it is not silent.
Because there are no vowels around the o in leftover, you pronounce Leftöver Crack just as you would leftover crack.
It was probably done to mock shitty bands like Mötley Crüe who did it for no reason other than fasion.

Q: How do I make the ö in Leftöver Crack?
A: To simply type it:
Capitalized Ö: Alt+0214
Lower case ö: Alt+148
HTML:
Capitalized Ö: Ö or Ö
Lower case ö: ö or ö

Lyrics
Q: What's with the number 41? (Morning Glory & the CRS7's So Ya Wanna Be a Cop lyrics that Stza sings, Leftöver Crack's One Dead Cop lyrics, INDK's All 41)
A: The highly-publicized and controversial death of Amadou Diallo involved 41 shots by 4 officers.
Read more about the incident here.

Q: What is spangin'? ("Ya turned a spangin' job into a life-long career" from Crack City Rockers by Leftöver Crack)
A: Spanging, from slang verb "spange", is a contraction of spare change.
It is the act of asking people for money on the street.
